What is the Hermosa Beach Murals Project?
Hermosa Beach is joining the movement to capture the history of the city in pictures. Murals have the power to beautify buildings while documenting a city’s rich history and culture through the professional work of talented artists.
Murals also become a destination point, a reason to visit a town; which brings economic benefits. This is a way for Hermosa Beach to identify with what the city means to us, its citizens, and to educate our youth and the public on the rich and eclectic wonderment that makes Hermosa Beach a unique city located on the Pacific Ocean. It is another way to celebrate Hermosa Beach for all to enjoy for many years to come.
Timing...
The goal of the The Hermosa Beach Mural Project is to grace the first wall with a mural in 2010. The long term goal is to have ten murals in ten years through community passion and involvement.
